February Speakout w/ Dave Passmore, Diamond

This month we are pleased to have Dave Passmore from regional Diamond Aircraft distributor LifeStyle Aviation as our guest speaker. Dave is a flight instructor (CFI, CFI-I, MEI) who sells, ferries, and provides transition training in new and used Diamond aircraft.  He learned to fly in the 2-seater DA20, has owned a DA40 XLS single and DA42-VI twin, and now (with pilot wife Sue) flies their twin-engined DA62 hangared at KJYO. In this talk, Dave will describe what’s different about Diamond aircraft, including their modern composite construction, unique flying characteristics, use of JetA-fueled Mercedes diesel car engines, and how Diamond has achieved the best safety record among all general aviation piston aircraft over the last 15 years.  He will also share what’s coming soon including the retractable 300 hp Continental diesel-powered DA50.
